I’m spending my last night in Quezon province, in a small town called Infanta. I’m spending my nights by the sandy beach and my days in the busy rural community. I’m here for work so all I have is my trusty 40D and nifty fifty. I got to take some interesting street photos which I’m looking forward to posting soon! Too bad I couldn’t shoot landscapes this time. With no tripod, no filters, no remote, and a really bad back, there’s not much I can do. But you can still expect to see one or two snaps from the beach, because I just couldn’t help myself. Good night!
memoriesinsnapshots asked: You have amazing photos here Sir :D I hope you don't mind me rummaging through your archives (lol). May I ask, how long is the travel to Sagada from Baguio?
Thank you! And feel free to keep digging if it’s still interesting. Anyway, Baguio to Sagada and vice versa takes around 5 hours via ordinary bus. It’s a rough ride but the views are fantastic!

I have been joining PiPho shoots since 2006 and I am always happy to come home with new friends, shooting techniques, and photos of places I wouldn’t have thought of seeing on my own. Here’s a photo of Sampaloc Lake, one of the seven lakes we visited in Laguna last March 2012.
One of the absolute must-haves when it comes to shooting landscapes is dedication. Technique and expertise do play important roles but they won’t be of any good if you don’t commit to being in the right place at the right time, and that usually means searching for good vantage points at least an hour before sunrise. Way too early, I know. But it’s usually well worth it.
Here’s one of the few photos I have of me shooting landscapes. This was shot at Bangui, Ilocos Norte by Owee who takes the most gorgeous portraits. You might want to check out her tumblr blog and follow if you like what you see :)
